Today’s Reflection
BY THE LIGHT of faith I have acquired wisdom in the wisdom of the Word, your only begotten Son. In the light of faith I am strong, constant, and persevering. In the light of faith I hope. Do not allow me to faint by the way. This light, without which I should still walk in darkness, teaches me the road. …Truly this light is a sea, for the soul revels in you, eternal Trinity, the Sea of Peace.

It is a wonderful prayer, one that we all would like to happen for us, I pray in Jesus name that it happens for every believer and for those who will soon be believers.
Lord, we give thanks that every day there are people who are becoming believers. We hope that one day the whole world will bow when hearing Your name. Help us to do our part in Your ministry that the harvest may be full. Amen.
This morning, in the pre-dawn light, I set off on a walk. (It was 6:15 local time.) The air was exceeding crisp; my breath came in nearly-solid puffs at times.
It was me and the starlings, black noisemakers announcing they were ready for breakfast.
As I walked, the light changed, began to brighten. My path, my footing became clearer. I worried less, looked around a bit more. Listened and realized there were sounds of beauty in the air, as well as those awful squawking starlings.
“This light, without which I should still walk in darkness, teaches me the path.”
Shine, Jesus, Shine.
