Traveling Jesus

January 29, 2013

Today’s Reflection

WE REQUIRE HEALING of the idea that God resides at church and/or that God only speaks and touches us in times and places of worship. When we dare believe that God follows us out of church and accompanies us wherever we travel, it may surprise us to see the hand of God at work in both the matters we regard as unimportant and in the issues that we believe lie beyond anyone’s control. … As you move from one place to the next, invite Jesus to travel with you and to touch the people and situations that need him most.

O God, we acknowledge that we often leave you behind at our place and time of meditation and devotion. Sometimes we even leave you at church. We invite you to join us at home and at work. Touch our lives and the lives of others in ways that we never expected. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are with us always, in our going out and our coming in, in our lying down and our getting up, in whatever we do.
I have become more aware of this over my faith journey.

Lord, provide reassurance and wisdom to those looking for work. In any economy this can be a tough experience but at the moment it is much tougher than it usually is. Thankfully our economy is slowing, gradually recovering from a very bad recession and with you by their side those looking for work will find work and be sustained.

“Every hour I need Thee” – Father – may my life bear evidence of that. I know Your presence is there – might I be present with You. Soften my touch and my words.

Today, I lift up a group of people from our church who will be taking a mission trip to South America in June. Show them the way to way to take You with them into the orphanages and villages where they will travel to share your word with the children. In Your name I pray.

“The Lord is my shepherd.” He is OUR shepherd, and He is here beside us to guide us in hard times of no jobs and/or no income. It’s difficult to see His hand in such a tough place, but He is here, asking us to believe and trust – to have faith to overcome those problems. He wants us to believe strongly enough to deny Satan, who is also right there telling us to give in, to fail and then to blame God for the pain. We must not give in, but continue praying and holding on, holding on, holding on – even when our knuckles turn white. “Hangeth thou in there, Christian…” no matter what the test. (Kay Arthur). God truly loves us/ you/ me, and He has a plan.

vietnam visa application form June 22, 2013 at 12:59 pm

Residents or those who stay in USA, UK, Canada, France, Africa, India and
other countries. This seems to be the cheapest and easiest way to get
a visa to Vietnam. Visa on arrival has tremendously managed to be rather a new way since it is ordered online when you are to
take a flight.
