Today’s Reflection
GOD OF WORDS—
help me choose mine carefully
let my mouth speak truth
with firmness and clarity
with respect and insight
let my heart hold those
to whom I speak
so they feel my regard
and help my spirit recognize
the God in each person
as well as the God in me
Amen

Today’s Scripture
Love is patient; love is kind; love is not envious or boastful or arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice in wrongdoing, but rejoices in the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
1 Corinthians 13:4-7, NRSV

A beautiful, timely prayer. Father – awareness of my words – and how they are delivered. A realization of the one to whom I am talking – and how much You love them. Oh, may I not be casual with my words.

Yes, I pray for this Lord, for we see as humans, but you see as God. We see the visible, you see the heart. Let us see each person as you see them and love them as you love them. In your name I pray, Amen.
Despite many indicators that our economy is improving, and we are thankful for them, 12 million Americans are still out of work. I pray that with your wisdom, love, and patience o Lord, they will find the job that they need. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
Father God, may you bless and provide for all who are seeking for jobs. May you grant them the joy of working.
