Delight in God

March 8, 2013

Today’s Reflection

IT IS GOD’S WILL that we have true delight with God in our salvation and that we be mightily comforted and strengthened. And so God wants our souls to be occupied joyfully with God’s grace. For we are God’s bliss, for God delights in us without end, and so, by God’s grace, will we delight in God.

Knowing God is with me always is comforting, I’m thankful for that, delight is a new idea.
Lord, I pray for those who believe, feel, they are too busy to pray that their hearts may be changed and they come to you. Lord I thank you for this day, for family and friends, for worship and a meal in your house today. Be with those who believe and help those who do not that your kingdom will come on earth as it is in heaven. Thank you for this ministry where daily we learn of and are supported by people who believe in you. In your name I pray, Amen.

I delight in God as I see His creation unfold into spring. As the days get longer and the Earth begins to “wake up” from a long, cold winter, I am thankful for the wonderful miracle that is the changing seasons. Please allow me to stop and breathe in this wonderful time in God’s year; when He opens up all new life! Thank you, God.

For me, a bit of delighting in God is realizing AND accepting that He delights in me! How I love the passage from Zepheniah -He is rejoicing over me with singing, He is renewing me with His love. My delighting in God must be fully shown in my actions (and words…always the words) with others.

I delight in all the good things God has given me.
When bad things come along, I delight in His presence.

I certainly delight in God’s creation, the beauty of the world God has made for us. I am happy that God loves me and very thankful that there is someone who understands me beyond my understanding. I am thankful for the people that God has placed in my life.

To delight in God means living a life that is pleasing to Him, obeying His commandments and being a doer of His word.

Help us God to delight in You all the days of our lives.
