God’s Love and Glory

March 13, 2013

Today’s Reflection

SAINT FRANCIS realized that the love and glory of God are in everything and for everything. If we realized the same, we would never disrespect, degrade, or destroy one another and the world as we have in the past and continue to do today.

I am looking and finding him in my hardest time of the work day – with my most difficult class. There He is reminding me of being tenderhearted – that each of my words should be a gift. Communicate in order to lift up, to edify. A stiff challenge – but one He has called me to. Lord, help me in my pursuit of You.

God is with you every step of the way, with God in your heart your students will see a difference. When I was teaching I told my students when they did something right or good, “Bless your heart”. They thought it was corny and I stopped. Then when they did something right or good they wondered why I didn’t say that. I resumed and that made a difference As teachers we hope to help each and every student but we are not always aware of what, if any, impact we made. This is true in any school but more so where you and I teach/taught.

Lord help those searching for you, may the door be opened to them, may they find in You what they seek and may the relationship that develops be a good one. I pray too for those who are too busy to pray, help them learn the importance of time with you and how doing so makes a big positive difference. Thank you Lord for your constant presence, in Your name I pray. Amen.

Indeed, the love and glory of God are in everything and for everything.

Father God, in my frustrations may you help me to understand and be patient to see your love and glory in everything and for everything.
