Sending Forth Prayer

February 5, 2014

Today’s Reflection

Send us forth, O God, with
every breath a thanksgiving,
every thought wrapped in compassion,
every word filled with kindness, and
every deed a channel of Love.
Through your grace may our lives become a prayer.
Amen.

“Every thought wrapped in compassion” – a challenge for me. For often – my inward murmurings lack that positivity. But, I am coming to see that beauty must begin on the inside. Father – please continue to transform me, mold me…don’t abandon the work of Your Hands. You have quieted me…and I don’t believe it is the quiet before the storm; but, rather, the serenity post-storm. I praise You for being my Peace.

I’m very grateful that there are writers who post such wonderful prayers here. They do much more than I can, especially in few words. Thank You Lord for all the members of the body of Christ, You give talents for each of us to share.

Grief may not be up close and personal every moment of our lives, thank God for that, but every day every where people die and their passing causes pain, sorrow, and grief. Lord, as You have helped me and so many others through this kind of valley, help those who are grieving today. Your healing presence makes THE difference. Thank You Lord for Your Love, Grace, and Mercy. In Your name I pray. Amen.
