Forgiveness

Today’s Reflection

FORGIVING RESEMBLES a spiral. At the center of the spiral lie the hurtful actions. As we come to new spiritual awareness and see connections between past hurts and present attitudes and actions, we may have to forgive again. And farther on, as we discover other pain and scars, we may have to forgive again – as many times as it takes to be free.

Prayer
God of new beginnings, as I come to see how others’ actions in the past limit me in the present, help me to open my wounds to your healing light. Help me to forgive and forgive again so that i can be whole and free. I pray in the name of Christ, the one who calls us to keep on forgiving. Amen.

Thank You Lord for forgiving us so many times, may we too, with Your spirit in us, also be forgiving in the same way. Lord with You there is always a way, hope, comfort. love. Thank You.

Its been a great two days at home, things have gone very well. Have had pictures from my daughter, Jenny, of my grand daughter,Willa, a good visit with Heidi, Paul, Brandon, and Logan. Went to church, helping with a dinner fund raiser and vacation Bible school. Now I’m off to care for Mom and will see my son., Erich.

Father – thank You for Christ and His example to us of true forgiveness. Only with His help can we forgive properly. Show us the inadequacy of our attempts to forgive on our own and lead us to full forgiveness and a willing spirit.

Gracious God, Your forgiveness is healing. It is an amazing gift of love, whether we are forgiving someone else or forgiving ourselves. May we go deeper in the process of forgiving and letting go. Today I pray for my husband, who will have an out-patient procedure tomorrow that will hopefully be the resolution of the health issue he has faced. May the procedure go well and may his strength return and his discomfort ease. Thank You for the blessings of today. In Jesus name, Amen.

Father, I pray that more of my friends and family will come to accept you as their Savior. Please work through me to help them see the light. Amen
