Today Is a Gift from God

November 2, 2011

Today’s Reflection

THIS DAY is a gift from God,
and I open it with prayer and gratitude,
asking that I might use it wisely,
asking that there might be time and opportunity
to serve by sharing what I’ve been given.

Use our time wisely.

When asked, be prepared in season and out to tell of the work God is doing in our lives.

Hmm. Simple prayer. So hard to do sometimes.

Especially when we really can only “control” our part. We cannot force another to accept our offering or listen to our stories.

But still we need to offer. Still we are called to serve, first Christ and then one another.

Certainly my most worthwhile days are those spent sharing with others what I have been so fortunate to have been given by my Father! Please guide me to those opportunities and give me the wisdom to take advantage of every minute of them.
