Fearfully and Wonderfully Made

Today’s Reflection

Help us to see that we are much more than our scars. You have made us far too complex to be defined by what is without as opposed to what is within.
Forgive us for the times we have devalued ourselves, as well as for the times we have devalued others, for as the psalmist wrote, “I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; that I know very well.”*
In Jesus’ name. Amen.

*Psalm 139:14

Father – I try to imagine how You view our scars. Maybe they are signposts along the journey of our lives. Your sovereignty permitted them and new growth has taken place. Thank You for the blessed assurance that You are with us always. We cannot evade Your Presence. There is great comfort in that.
Grateful for a colleague at school who is being very supportive as I prepare for my next observation/evaluation. Grateful to have the time at school to afford to it, due to the continued steady growth of my student teacher. Grateful to have nothing after school this evening, will be able to come home to peace and relaxation.
    Good day, my UR family.

Prayers that all will go well with the observation/evaluation, Jill. I was always a bit nervous from student teaching days right to the end.

Sometimes, with the mistakes I’ve made, I wonder how I could possibly be “wonderfully made.” Then God does things that we do not understand, God’s ways are not our ways. Without God I am not alive, I wouldn’t exist. Grace, mercy, and love have been given to us. Love covers a multitude of sins. In Jesus, we have hope. Thank You, Lord. We owe everything to You.

Thank you for prayers for Anneliese. She has more surgery prep appointments today. So far so good.

Thankful I was able to resolve an important communications problem yesterday and that enabled progress for Erich. Thankful for an upcoming trip, R&R before Anneliese’s surgery. Found some things we can do on the trip.
Thankful too for progress with my model. Enjoyed wonderful lunch and dinner. Thank You, Lord.

Prayers for educators, educational support, students, and parents. All are involved in education. Lord, may they all have Your wisdom and support as they learn. Hopefully the skills taught and learned help everyone become closer to You. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Father, I often have to remind myself that I am “wonderfully made” and your child. Let me take the scars and mistakes I’ve accumulated and see them as just experiences to fuel my journey toward You. Amen
I am continuing to pray for Robert and Annaliese as her surgery is coming soon. Mary, stay strong in your jobs as caretaker; remember to take time for yourself to rest. Jill, I know you will do well with your evaluation , but I see your worry. It was always stressful as to whether a lesson plan would play out as you want it to.
Grateful today for opportunity to spend time with my brother as we travel to see his neurologist for checkup, a good visit with a friend yesterday who is recovering from surgery, and this time with my UR family.

Thanks Betsy! Having sore throat and running nose now, symptoms of flu. Going to see the doc tomorrow as today we are having a Long day. Hopefully to get well so that I can enjoy the Chinese New Year celebrations over here in Singapore. Struggling with students who are not teachable and with Low self esteem. Also, others who have lack of self control and like to lie. May God help me and may God’s presence be so close to each and everyone here.

Hi! The link for comments from the “your ways are not my ways” prayer is going back to 2/3. This was a perfect reading for me as I visit a place today where the text was so meaningful. Amazing when things like that happen!
