Share God’s Love

Today’s Reflection

GOD OF ALL LOVE, your love for me and for the whole creation is beyond anything I can imagine. Your thoughts are not my thoughts, and your ways are not my ways. But the immensity of your love does not frighten me; it encourages me. For if I could fully fathom your love and live in it, it would be no bigger than I am. …

I give you myself today as completely as I can, knowing that the experience of your love will create an even greater openness to you in the days to come. Choose for me the best expression of your love as I live today, and I will gladly receive it, as well as seek to find ways to share it with others.

In Jesus’ name. Amen.

“Choose for me the best expression of your love as I live today”. Can I begin to imagine God thinking of me, knowing the day that is ahead of me, and fitting me with just the right expression of God’s love? I cannot grasp it, but I believe it. Thank you, God.

This is a powerful, multifaceted, and all encompassing prayer. Yes, Lord “I give you myself today as completely as I can, knowing that the experience of your love will create an even greater openness to you in the days to come. Choose for me the best expression of your love as I live today, and I will gladly receive it, as well as seek to find ways to share it with others. In Jesus’ name. Amen.” I pray that everyone can pray this prayer.

Thankful for continued progress toward Anneliese’s hip replacement surgery, safe travel on a rainy day, photos and email, improvements in an article, progress on a model, and a wonderful show about monkeys at 13,000 feet in the Himalayas. Prayers of thanks for the UR family and prayers that your prayers will be answered soon. Thank You, Lord.

I pray for all educators, but especially those who teach about You, Lord. They have an enormous responsibility to be true to the Gospel. Blessings on all who teach and are learning to teach, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Robert – I must be like you…still anxious and wanting to do well for the evaluation. Perhaps, in some respects, that is a good thing…some teachers who have been at it a while…just mail it in. On the other hand, I get agitated that I have to “dance the dance” on this particular day – like each and every day I am not doing what is best for the students in my class. (Sorry for the slight frustration this early in the AM.) Mary – take care of yourself – hope you are feeling better today. Betsy – thanks for the encouragement.
The prayer above is beautiful. Any glimpse of God’s love should be acknowledged and treasured…and passed on. Father – keep my eyes focused outward – seeing You in varying ways and seeing needs of others that You would have me meet.
Grateful for a good, long night’s sleep, I was dragging by the end of yesterday at school. Grateful for a break out session tonight at Bible study where we share a personal part of ourselves, answering a prompt. Father – I pray that each person will be comfortable speaking the truth, with hope of impacting each other and glorifying You. Grateful for temps in the 60s…in February…crazy. We are experiencing a winter where we are 30 inches shy of our usual snowfall by now. Can’t say I miss it.

Thanks Jill! My throat is feeling better now but still having a cough. Very grateful that the doctor gave me Two days of medical leave.

All the very best for the evaluation! I too felt nervous when evaluated. Thank God during the evaluation, the students were cooperative and well behaved. Praying that yours will go smoothly and wishing you a promotion soon.
