I feel powerless about my financial situation.
Every month it seems unexpected expenses arise,
and I have to scramble to find money to cover them.
Thank you for providing for me thus far.
I’m grateful to have a jobb.
I just wish, Lord, that the money would stretch a little further.
Your word says that you love a cheerful giver.*
And the Lord’s Prayer tells us to ask for our daily bread.
Lord, is it wrong to ask for just a little more money
to cover all the bills, to give to the poor
and to my church, and to save for a rainy day?
Dear God, help me remember that it’s all your money.
Show me how to live more simply
in order to share what I can with those in need.
Help me always to trust your generous heart. Amen.

If one member suffers, all suffer together with it; if one member is honored, all rejoice together with it.
