God’s Grace Is Vast

Today’s Reflection

AT TIMES WE MUST RELY on the faith of those around us. Have you ever felt like you couldn’t pray? Despair, fatigue, anger, or confusion may have overwhelmed you, and you couldn’t bring yourself to share your heart with God. Have there been times when you felt like you didn’t believe in God? Or in the church? When you didn’t feel worthy of God’s love, healing, or forgiveness?

We all have those moments when our faith feels broken and God seems too far away. That’s okay. God’s grace is so vast that it works even when our faith doesn’t. God’s grace is at work through the ones whose faith is working — the faith of our family members, our friends, our church members, our coworkers, and even strangers who pray for us when we don’t even realize it.

Oh, yes – Your grace is vast. We are so unaware…unaware of the spiritual warfare going on around us and the protection provided by angels. And each morning – Your mercies are new, and what are necessary for the day. Thank You, Father God. Thank You for Your Presence – even when we struggle to sense You, You are there. Thank You for earthly angels, who buoy us with their love and support.

Nearly every day, I anonymously submit prayers for others at the Upper Room Living Prayer Center.
Sometimes I wonder if my prayer was of any help to the person who sent in the prayer request. Then I realize it is not important for me to know. It is the simple act of praying for another that extends Gods’ love through me. That is humbling and an honor. God takes care of the how and when of answering prayer.
Gods’ grace is so vast that I have been given great insights into my own struggles, questions and my prayers have been answered and even at times explained, all because of reading and answering prayer requests. The most sacred gift is that I feel at one with God and humankind. New faith and hope is restored in my soul.

I certainly identified with all of the statements in today’s reading. That is why I am so glad that I found this haven of faith. So many souls coming together to buoy one another through trials both in life and faith.
Thank you God for directing us to places where your faithful join together to support one another.
Blessings and prayers for all who visit

Thank you, Jill, Gerri, Julie, and all the visitors to the UR for praying. The power of prayer is amazing. I believe in it. Have been the recipient of prayers and answers to prayers. Yes, indeed, God does work in mysterious ways. Thank You, Lord.

Prayers for God’s wisdom to help Anneliese decide what to do and strength to do it. The house sale fell through. She will try to rent it and hopefully the tenant, who was about to leave due to the house sale, will stay. She’s overwhelmed by the situation but is doing as best she can to take care of the grounds. Help is not readily available.

Healing and relief from pain for Julie, Anneliese, and all who suffer.

Blessings to all of you, have a spirit filled Sunday.
