New every morning is your love, great God of light, and all day long you are working for good in the world. Stir up in us desire to serve you, to live peacefully with our neighbors and all your creation, and to devote each day to your Son, our Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.

Drench me – yes, Father, drench me with Your passion for others. Might I be a conduit of Your Love – and send it forth to those with whom I cross paths. Might I reflect and magnify You.
Grateful to be back at school, immersed in my routine. I found myself craving that normalcy yesterday. Good too, to be back up and running with my Monday night Bible study small group.
Father, walk with me through this day.

  • Mary Ng Shwu Ling Posted January 23, 2018 6:52 am

Yes, Lord, drench me, shape me and move me!

Today, i am grateful for the discipliariam mistress to talk to the upper primary. She even asked those students in her list to stand in front of everyone. My class has eight students in her list. Other classes only have one or two students in her list.

Last week, the vice principal spoke to us and asked which students have problems in class and my boss told us in advanced that do not mentioned too many. It shows that we are not capable of managing the class. Before i vould answer the VP, as he went level by level, my boss quickly mentioned only two from my class. Anyway, my boss, who is the centre manager told us that her last day is 31 January 2018.
the staff turnover is very high. Most of the teachers in my centre are new. In my level, both of us are new. Its like the blund leading the blind. Praying that we have an understanding manager. Cause my present manager actually cut down manpower and instead of three class for my level, she only has two teachers for my level.

    Blessings

Change in school administration is difficult, Mary. Praying that your school retains a fair and firm person for the role.

    • robert moeller Posted January 23, 2018 7:21 am

Thank you, Mary, for this explanation. I think the disciplinarian mistress has a deeper understanding of the student body than one might suspect. That’s good. I agree with Betsy that a large staff turnover is tough. There is also the language problem you have mentioned. Good communication is essential.
Prayers for normalcy and a sound healthy routine.

      • Mary Ng Shwu Ling Posted January 23, 2018 8:23 am

        Thanks Betsy and Robert!

Mary, I pray the change in your new school’s management brings improvement for your classroom. I am praying for your father and mother too. Take care!

Thankful for this day, this reflection. What a love filled thought to be drenched by God. Most certainly I need the Lord.

Having normalcy, a routine that sustains, is a blessing. Good news from Jill. Hopefully some sense of that has returned to the legislative and executive branches of US government, and after funding the government more progress can be made on the long list of issues awaiting. Lord, may Your wisdom come to leaders in both branches.

Continued, we are asked to pray always, prayers for the health, reconciliation,
support, and well being of the UR family. You are in my thoughts and prayers with the expectation that God will do what is best for each one of you. You are named before God, Marcy, Julie, Andrea, Mary, Jill, Betsy, Connie, Lou, Chloe, Cherie, Rusty and K. Thank you for your prayers, support, and sharing.
You are all children of God through whom God’s love flows. Bless your hearts!

Yes Lord, shape me into the follower you know I am able to become.
Prayers for each of you and your paarticular issues.
It is good to hear from so many.
Mary, I pray your work stress is reduced under your new manager.
Thanks for your prayers, they are much needed and much appreciated.
Blessings to one and all in this loving and supportive family

    Lord, drench me in thankfulness.

  • Andrea Posted January 23, 2018 8:40 am

We have over a foot of snow, heavy snow, that fell in the last 24 hours. It is beautiful but we cannot get out of our driveway and the snowblower won’t start. So it looks like we will be shoveling for hours. We knew the storm was coming so we are stocked up in the kitchen. My daughter and I were going to have lunch today to celebrate her 40th birthday, but we have postponed it. I pray for safety for those on the road, including my neighbor, Sharon.

Drench me, God. I picture being drenched in the shower, and the water is God’s love and faithfulness.

Prayers for all UR friends. May you be drenched by God’s abiding love.

    • Andrea Posted January 23, 2018 9:51 am

My husband got the snowblower going, thankfilly. We have between 14 and 17 inches of snow in our rather long driveway.

    • Mary Ng Shwu Ling Posted January 23, 2018 9:32 pm

Glad to hear that you are having lunch with your daughter. May God bless your lunch fellowship and may your daughter have a blessed 40th birthday

      Blessings

      • Andrea Posted January 23, 2018 10:13 pm

Thank you, dear Mary. My daughter and I will have lunch next week, since the snow prevented safe driving in the metro area today. I will be on a retreat from tomorrow through Sunday. I may have little or no WiFi connection while I am at a Lutheran Bible camp outside a small town. I will keep you and all of our UR friends in my prayers.

        • Mary Ng Shwu Ling Posted January 24, 2018 6:19 am

Dear Andrea, may you have a very refreshing retreat!

          Also, have a safe journey

          Blessings

I am thinking of you Marcy and hold you in my prayers since last night when you were to go to the doctor for your appointment. May you feel your UR family reaching out to you and sending you our love.
Julie I lift your name to God the Great Healer. May he touch you with his healing touch.
For all other UR family members, may you know that our Father God is smiling down on you. As the pieces of a jigsaw puzzle slowly come together to reveal a picture, may we see Your hand in our lives and trust You more every day. Rest well dear family.

    • robert moeller Posted January 24, 2018 6:22 am

Just received this, yes, prayers for Marcy and her doctor’s appointment. Prayers for Julie’s hands and knee. Thankful for an operating snowblower.
