New every morning is your love, great God of light, and all day long you are working for good in the world. Stir up in us desire to serve you, to live peacefully with our neighbors and all your creation, and to devote each day to your Son, our Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.

Today’s Reflection

MAY I SEE today the largeness of your love
in even the smallest part of creation.
May I be ravished by traces of your beauty
in earth and sky.
May I experience the eternity of your grace
pulsing within each moment.

Pondering the phrase “eternity of Your grace” – have never thought of His grace in this manner. It is overwhelming. I will sit with it a while. Will take it with me throughout the day, too.
My seniors, and a handhold of my juniors, test for me this afternoon and tomorrow morning. This marks the culmination of our two years together. I am so grateful for these kids. They have helped me so much this school year – with my diagnosis and being very careful of their hygiene and germs; through the time in February when I was out with my mom’s surgery – and I never ever have to worry about how they will be if I have to miss school and have a sub. I hope they will walk confidently into their test this afternoon and tomorrow morning. I will see them this morning – taking breakfast in for them and one final pep talk to encourage them. I am so glad my subject is the first subject in the three weeks of testing which lie ahead of them. They are fresh and I hope they are feeling confident.
Grateful that my lawnmower started up yesterday and I was able to mow and trim my yard. The weather is beautiful and grateful to have open windows and doors. Hoping dad can relax and enjoy golfing with his friends today.

Wonderful news from you, Jill, yes, I too hope your students do well and I think your teaching and prep will have them where they need to be to do well.
Thankful to for your recovery from the wrist problem, that helped make lawn mowing possible as well as tennis. Great that your Dad can play golf with friends, exercise is a great stress reliever. Prays for you, your parents and sister. Thankful for the support you have around you.

Had a wonderful day with my son, beautiful scenery and weather, a nice ride, saw some things we will visit again. His job begins the 19th.

Blessings , prayers for concerns, and thanksgiving for joys to all of the UR family. Anneliese’s computer is not working well, sporadic at best, but she is ok.

Today I am in awe of the “traces of your beauty”, Lord. It is a beautiful, sunny day after such dreary, wet weeks of early spring. Hope that everyone can spend some time today out in nature. Thank you, Lord, for your creation. Blessings to all who visit here today.

Yes, may we experience God’s amazing grace every moment and may we grow physically, mentally and spiritually

Have a great week ahead everyone

Blessings and may all be well

It is beautiful and spring- like here in the upper midwest too.

May I experience the eternity of Your grace.

I want to make another overture to my daughter (she has not replied to two emails I sent). I have not heard from her since a very angry email she sent me last week. I wonder if I should just give her space. I appreciate your prayers so much.

What a blessing to read about Jill’s students. Jill, you sound like a wonderful teacher.

    God’s blessings today to all.

  • Lou Posted May 2, 2018 7:58 am

The beautiful weather and warmth is a relief and a sign of God’s great love. The song by the David Crowder Band just came to mind- How He Loves Us… that fills my heart this morning. For that is what I am most sure of in this life – how He loves us so…
Blessings and prayers for Jill, her family and her students- for Robert and his faithfulness and caring for all and for his family, for Andrea and her daughter – the mother/daughter struggle can be so challenging – may God help her see how much you love her and may you see how she needs to be loved. Prayers and Peace for Julie – hoping this warm spell is providing physical relief for you. Prayers for Betsy and Mary and their families – Prayers for Connie, Louise, Chloe and Paige, April, Ken and all who come to this place looking for guidance, hope, and peace.
Thankful so thankful for all of your prayers- my son passed his test – apparently many do not pass it the first time so he was happy that it is behind him- he needed this boost in his confidence and I thank God for his continued blessings – my youngest had a hard day at school yesterday and was very tearful- I pray for her sensitive heart and for God to bring her peace. Prayers for my middle daughter as she finishes her last week of college.
    Prayers for you all-
I miss Marcy ending with – Faith. Hope and Love…special prayers for her as well-

Yes, I see God’s beauty, grace, and largeness in the wonderful spring weather we are finally experiencing. How wonderful He is to awaken all of creation and make it new again.

The sun has set on another day. Many moments of thanks for me as I read your posts, went to work to share with co-workers the bar-b-q provided, outdoor patio visit with neighbors (yes, with Alzheimer’s), and now checking in with my UR family. Thankful for the blessings of this day and wishing all a restful night…until we meet again….Shalom.
