New every morning is your love, great God of light, and all day long you are working for good in the world. Stir up in us desire to serve you, to live peacefully with our neighbors and all your creation, and to devote each day to your Son, our Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.

Today’s Reflection

TAKE, LORD, and receive all my liberty, my memory, my understanding, and my entire will – all that I have and call my own. You have given it all to me, Lord, I return it. Everything is yours; do with it what you will. Give me only your love and your grace. This is enough for me.

Today’s Scripture

“For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life. Indeed, God did not send the Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.”

John 3:16-17, NRSV

This Week: pray for the victims of violence. Submit your prayer to The Upper Room Living Prayer Center or share it in the comment section.

Father, help me to rest in the sufficiency of Your providence. Enlarge my trust and quiet the white noise within, that I may hear and experience You. Yes, Your Grace and Your Love are magnificent gifts, may I rest there.

Emptying of mind. Making space for God to enter in.

It is very hot in the Upper Midwest. I am thankful for shade trees outdoors and for air conditioning indoors.

Prayers for UR friends and visitors, as always. Prayers for victims of all kinds of violence.

    Blessings this holiday weekend.

Continued prayers for all here at the UR.
Lifting up Robert and his family, Andrea and her daughter, Julie and her health concerns and family struggles, Marcy, for Connie and her faith, Betsy, Gail, Louise, April, Chloe and Paige, Diane, Paul and many more not mentioned.
My house sale was completed yesterday – not as many things sold as I had hoped but it is over and now they will clear things out and then all that is left will be packed and moved soon. It has been very emotional but I’ve done my best to keep everyone up. I took my daughter to the new house to measure for carpet in her room and we picked that out and ordered it- it made her feel better and somewhat excited to do that. She said she had a good morning and that was good after a rough few weeks of AP testing, finals, a big presentation and the moving sale.
My son passed another test important in his financial licensure. I was very happy for him -we found an apartment for him and he will move also this week. I am so thankful that God continues to bless us and specifically gives me strength to keep going each day.
His Grace and Love are sufficient.
Thank you God for your Love and forgiveness. Have mercy on us all.

Thank you for your prayers, Lou. I am keeping you and your family in prayer as you go through this big transition. It is certainly an adjustment to move out of a house you have been in for years and into a new one. Prayers for your daughter’s adjustment to the new house and for your son’s process of acquiring his financial licensure and also moving into an apartment. Blessings!

      • Mary Ng Shwu Ling Posted May 27, 2018 8:21 pm

Thanks Lou and congratulations on your son’s success in passing his test.

Glad to hear that Your house’s sale is completed. Praying for you and your daughter’s adjustment to the new place and your son”s adjustment to his new apartment.

        Blessings
