BAPTISM IS A COMMITMENT to raising ordinary missionaries. It is not possible to enter the kingdom of God as a follower of Jesus and not become a participant in his mission. For one thing, all the teaching of Jesus is about what it means to participate in the kingdom as both citizen and servant. For another thing, being obedient to the Great Commission is itself part of the “everything” we are meant to teach others, from generation to generation.
