New every morning is your love, great God of light, and all day long you are working for good in the world. Stir up in us desire to serve you, to live peacefully with our neighbors and all your creation, and to devote each day to your Son, our Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.

Today’s Reflection

SOMETIMES LIFE SEEMS UNBEARABLE. Our hearts and minds are weighed heavily upon, and we struggle to let go of all that burdens us for fear of losing the illusion of control we have over our lives. We call upon your name today, O God, that you may free us from worry and all that troubles our minds, bodies, and spirits. We put our trust in you, O God, this day and always. Amen.

Yes, I believe this. Have had some tough times, long haul situations. No matter what happens trusting in God has pulled me through.

On the road today, will visit the area where we hope to move this coming spring.

Hopefully this coming week will be less busy and I can catch up with all of you. Prayers for your well being, God’s love, grace, mercy, and peace be yours now and always.

Yes, what a Friend we have in Jesus – all our sins and griefs to bear…oh what peace we often forfeit, oh what needless pain we bear – all because we do not carry EVERYTHING to God in prayer. Father – You will lessen our burdens, when we crawl to Your Throne and lay them at Your feet. Unclench my fingers, increase my trust.
Father – I pray for traveling mercies for Robert and Erich – might they be encouraged by what they see. Prayers, too, for Marcy – may she have relief for the symptoms she is experiencing. Thank You for her pastor who is available to assist her.
Father, You hold us firmly in Your hand, tho the storm swirls, You are forever steadfast. We are Yours.

Love that old hymn, Jill. Leaning on Him as we navigate the struggles of life. Traveling mercies for you today, Robert. We are also on the road today for a week visiting some friends from our hometown. I just received a text from a neighbor saying there had been a police car and ambulance on their street earlier. Hoping it was not our neighbor, Beverly who has been in poor health. Today I lift her up and pray she is ok.
Blessings to all for a safe weekend.

As you all are aware I have struggled with much worry lately. I needed this reflection to first remind me, again, to give all my burdens to the Lord and trust in Him. But also to reassure me that EVERYONE worries. I recently parted ways with a new “friend” because, among other things, she was continuously saying that I was “not a good enough Christian.” One reason was my worry for my future. Sigh…
Prayers for Marcy, may her pain be less today and may she find the answers she seeks. As promised: I call Chai my Stair Bear because every morning he waits for me on the stairs. He watchs for me to come out of my room and meets me somewhere in the middle of the stairs to then show me the way to the kitchen. Tazzie just yelled at me to remove my keyboard from my lap because that is his rightful place! He is now sittiing triumphantly on my lap, purring and insisting on pets.
Prayers for safe travel for Robert, Erich, and Betsy and her husband. May they all have enjoyable adventures.
Prayers for Jill and her family and a weekend of good times and no conflict.
Prayers for Mary and a well deserved weekend of rest.
Prayers for all of the UR family

I visited the Living Prayer Center yesterday. Such a reassuring place and I don’t go there often. My prayers were answered and I want to share this with you-my prayer warriors here. God gives us many blessings, that’s for sure.
    Thankful for:
Cool, sunny weather in the upper 40’s.
My red hanging basket that drew my Hummingbirds and also fed them. It has seen “it’s day”. “Where have all the flowers gone? Long time passing”.
The love of family and friends.
Stories of Chai and Tazzie that make me smile.
    Bless your weekend. Safe travels.

Thankful for: Connie’s words about my babies’ stories, brought both tears to my eyes and a smile to my lips. Sometimes I feel as though I type into a vacuum, nice to be reassured that others hear me. Thank you
