New every morning is your love, great God of light, and all day long you are working for good in the world. Stir up in us desire to serve you, to live peacefully with our neighbors and all your creation, and to devote each day to your Son, our Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.

Today’s Reflection

LOVING GOD, we don’t always understand your timing, but we trust that you are good. We know that you hold us in your hands and wrap your love around us when we we are sad. We are sad today, Lord.

Comfort us with your presence. Grant us peace in our hearts. Fill our minds with good memories of the one we love.

You are the great Healer, and we ask you to heal our hearts today and wipe the tears from our eyes to see the hope you have set before us. Amen.

How firmly I hold to the unwavering goodness of God. In my desperation to impart this in some manner to my mom – I feel like I grasp it even more. It makes my brain hurt, and my heart too, that I can have such a vast measure of His peace, yet be unable to extend it to mom – who so desperately needs it. Father – You hold me on this path, You sustain me and I am grateful. Yet, again, I am here begging for mercy for mom. May there be something today which causes a slight turning towards You. I know You love her – help me to find rest in that and to desire Your will – even tho it seems I wish otherwise.
The concert last evening was wonderful. I don’t know if any of you are familiar with Lauren Dangle – but her songs are full of wonderful theology. My favorite is “Love Like This” – I would encourage you to take a moment to look it up on YouTube. “What have I done to deserve love like this? I cannot earn what You so freely give.” It was so very good to sit there and soak up the truth in the words of her songs. Again, my thoughts were so much going towards my mom, desiring her to be able to receive the comfort that is available and yet, recognizing the hardness of her heart. Oh God, please be merciful.
Plans for today’s day trip had to be changed. But I am grateful for the time I had with Lisa last evening. This three day weekend will be nice and lazy – with much time around the house – which will be very good. Grateful to be able to sleep in today and to not be concerned with time. Will have extended time here in my blue chair.
Father, may You only be glorified – may that be the theme of my heart.

I am a recipient of God’s peace after a family member passed away, and can testify that it is very helpful. This prayer asks for God’s peace and I certainly would pray this for anyone who has lost a loved one.

Thankful for a wonderful walk yesterday morning in Montpelier VT’s Hubbard Park yesterday morning. Frosty air and some icy crunch under my feet, but it was a nice climb up the 54 foot tower, visit to the New Shelter, and walk through the ravine. Very glad I was able to do that.

So far so good with Erich’s crepe making interview, he has a job. Training is next.Very thankfully he will get a ski pass with this job. Skiing here is very expensive, $100 a day, so having a ski pass is great incentive.

The details that make a boiler into a steam locomotive part are being added.
    The Bismarck is taking shape.

Thankful Anneliese has a new script for PT that has helped a lot with pain, she also will go to a new nearby PM office on the 23rd. A new furnace is working quietly and providing necessary heat.

I pray for Cary and Cora who lost Cora’s father in a tragic motorcycle accident and their home and belongings within 24 hours. May they feel God’s peace and love and assurance surround them and sustain them.
Thank you Robert. I am not a good typist because of my fingers so it is difficult to list all my prayers. I am glad it is helpful. I also know how helpful it is for me to see myself mentioned by name in another’s comments.
Thankful for Erich’s successful interview and new job. Prayers of thanks and awe that Robert is so physically fit and active.
Prayers for Jill and Gloria. The suffering of a loved one is never easy to witness and human nature is to reduce the suffering. My prayers for Gloria to find solace through her counselling sessions.

Prayers for Betsy and her ministry to prisoners. May she bring more sheep to the Lord’s flock.
Prayers for Andrea and her family and their relationships. Prayers for her grandson and his bond with his grandparents.

Prayers for those who find this warm and accepting family in Christ.
