New every morning is your love, great God of light, and all day long you are working for good in the world. Stir up in us desire to serve you, to live peacefully with our neighbors and all your creation, and to devote each day to your Son, our Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.

Today’s Reflection

O LORD, you are our protector and helper; I call upon you today for those who are in pain and trouble.
Support and strengthen them. God of grace, grant your help to those who are experiencing mental troubles.
God of mercy, grant your healing to those who are experiencing physical pain.
God of compassion, grant your comfort to those who are experiencing relational difficulties.
God of love, grant your strength to those who are experiencing spiritual troubles.
Faithful God, protect us all, and help us in our times of trouble. God, send your help and support to us. Amen.

God of all comfort – be our Source whom we run to. Father – soothe the physical, emotional, spiritual and relational discomfort of those who visit here. Our needs are great, but You are greater. May Your loving compassion wash over us anew this morning.

Lord, I lift up those hurting in spirit and physical pain who are refugees to a foreign land. May they experience compassion and grace from a welcoming country. Be with those so far from home and feeling unwanted and undervalued. Help us all to remember we all have felt this way at some time. Give us empathy and understanding in all our encounters. Amen

This prayer is for the people Jesus came to earth to serve, the people he sends his followers out to serve. May we be the body of Christ, guided in how we give time and support to Jesus’ mission on earth.

I am grateful for your prayers and hold you all in my heart and prayers.
