New every morning is your love, great God of light, and all day long you are working for good in the world. Stir up in us desire to serve you, to live peacefully with our neighbors and all your creation, and to devote each day to your Son, our Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.

GRANT US WISDOM and courage this week:
to be open to your surprises, O God;
to taste and see your presence in new ways;

    Yes, grant us wisdom and courage to be open to your surprises and also to taste and see your presence in new ways, O God!

    Keeping Jill’s school, teachers and students, counsellord and family of victims involved in the incident in prayer. May God watch over them and grant them wisdom to manage the crisis.

    Blessings to all!

    Wisdom and courage – needed each and every day. Father, may it be of You, and not something we manufacture ourselves. Yes, we long to taste and see Your goodness and to be transmitters as well.
    So grateful for your faithful prayers. A very strange twist to the story…the principal addressed the school – very appropriately – at 8:15. He got back on the PA at 9:00 saying the hospital staff had given wrong information to the police and that the “victim” was actually still alive. The newspaper and tv reports were not correct. The victim had two surgeries and is clinging to life. Also – weirdly enough – we have two students at our school with the same name – that of the victim – who was a freshman, and our senior class president. A very strange and subdued day yesterday. Prayers remain needed for our school, for the boy clinging to life and his family and for the other students who witnessed this occur.
    Grateful for a staff who stood together and were pillars yesterday. Grateful for the leadership of our administration – our principal anchors us. Grateful for the grief support team present throughout the day.
    Will be glad when the workday is over today.

    Jill, I will add the victim to my prayers for you and your school community. I know you are one of the strong school leaders, with your faith.

    I am concerned about Lowell. Although the ultrasound showed no clot, he has significant swelling and discomfort in his foot. I ask for your continued prayers.

    Prayers that discomfory in Julie’s hands and feet will lessen. Prayers for Marcy”s health and for her career, Mary. Prayers for Robert, Erich, and Anneliese, may they be guidedxand uplifted. Prayers for Mary, with gratitude that much stress has been relieved in her life. Prayers for all UR friends.

    Gracious God, grant us courage and wisdom. I am struggling a bit and need Your direction.

    So thankful that there is hope that victim of the shooting will survive Prayers that that comes true. The confusion with names certainly complicated the situation. Thankful for the leaders of the school, and yes, I think Jill is one of them, who are helping students and staff through this exceptionally tough time. The upcoming weekend should also be helpful.

    Prayers for Lowell’s ankle, Julie’s hands and feet, Marcy’s health and well-being, Rusty and K, Betsy’s family, Connie’s health, Lou and the new normal,
    Shirley, Sara, April, and all the UR family. Thankful for Mary, Marcy’s caregiver, the peace that has come to Mary in Singapore, and all of you who have prayed for Anneliese, Erich , and me.

    Anneliese has had help from three different medical approaches, one will be discontinued as insurance does not cover it and it is very expensive, Physical therapy and pain management are covered and will be continued. A new smaller implant is now available and that will be tried as the time when shots, which have helped, is coming to an end. Scar tissue makes the shots ineffective.

    The condo is now occupied by the potential buyers and the sale is forthcoming. Extra work on the title search has delayed the sale, but it will happen.

    Erich had his first paycheck yesterday, Training has ended, orientation at the site where he will work starts this coming week with the job beginning the following week. There is great incentive to succeed, so far so good.

    Had a great walk in a very forested, hilly, snowy park behind the Vermont statehouse yesterday, found a calendar to send to Germany, and have some new bank accounts to enable payments when tax season comes. Have made progress drilling tiny holes on the smokebox cover to mark the location of rivets, brass for the hinges is coming, and hopefully the smokebox cover will be done soon. Rail diesel cars or RDCs, may soon be operating in commuter service in northern Vermont. These are mainline railroad operable self propelled passenger cars. Some big hurdles yet to overcome, but the RDCs are here and ready for service. If all goes well, they will take a lot of cars off the road.

    Thank You, Lord.

    “Open the eyes of my heart, Lord”
    Thankful for:
    Beautiful sunrise.
    Mobility.
    “Oh come, oh come Emmanuel”

    I praise God that the victim is alive and pray for God to work through the medical professionals attending the child to completely heal the him or her. Prayers for Jill and her school community as they navigate through this tragedy.
    Prayers for Andrea and Lowell. Again, I have had DVTs and if you have concerns get Lowell to an ER. Better to err on the side of caution with these things, they are dangerous.
    Prayers for Mary and her family, may she share her joy with them.
    Prayers for Lou and her children. Prayers for Lou as she navigates her life as the sole parent.
    Prayers for Robert and his health and vitality as he continues to walk in the cold and snow. Prayers for Erich and his new job, may he persevere with this job. Prayers for pain relief for Anneliese.
    Prayers for Connie and her health concerns, may she improve each day.
    Prayers for Marcy and her caregiver, Mary. May Marcy find solace today.
    Prayers for April, Shirlee and her daughter and all who visit here
    Prayers dear UR family.
    Typing brings much pain now, but you are precious friends worth the pain
