New every morning is your love, great God of light, and all day long you are working for good in the world. Stir up in us desire to serve you, to live peacefully with our neighbors and all your creation, and to devote each day to your Son, our Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.

Today’s Reflection

FRIENDSHIP WITH GOD, in the person of Christ, changes everything about us. It affects the way we see ourselves, others, and the world around us. It changes what we most deeply desire. It gives us the grace to become the people God wants us to be: “fully human and fully alive,” as the words ascribed to Saint Irenaeus tell us.

Friendship with God gives me confidence, hope and most importantly He is with me no matter what I go through. It gives me the strength, grace and empowerment to be what He wants me to be, to love others, to have compassion for the people in this broken world.

    Blessings!

Keeping Bill in prayer. May God be so close to him and may His healing hands be upon Bill!

I definitely would not get through each day without God’s strength helping me. I am also very compassionate and try to see each person through the Lord’s eyes. I try to remember that each of us is a child of God. This helps me with patience and understanding.
Prayers for Larry and Edy, may Larry’s next surgery be successful.
Prayers for Gloria, Larry, Jill, and Becky, may God see them through this chapter of their lives.
Prayers for Marcy, may she be well.
Prayers, dear Mary, may your joy continue and may it shine into the world.
Short missive today because I have a routine dentist appointment.
Prayers and blessings and warm hugs for each of the UR family

I’m so grateful for all my praying friends. Romans 8:28 “And we know that in all things God works together for good for those who love God and are called according to his purpose.”

As a believer I think I try to be more patient with people and try to love them as God loves. I’m certainly not perfect doing that. Have to keep trying. It is a huge task and I have far fewer people to love than God.
Prayers for all facing the big snow storm tomorrow.
Praying too that all went well with Anneliese’s trip to the MRI, the procedure itself, and the trip home. Movement is very uncomfortable, even painful.
Things are going well for Erich, he’s very glad he will not be doing this job for the rest of his life, but it is making a difference.
Hopefully we will soon be in good shape to start seriously looking for a house to buy.
Prayers for Larry’s surgery, Julie’s well being and dentist appointment.
Prayers for Bill that he is healed.
Yes, prayers too for Gloria and Marcy and the dear people who care so well for them.
Walked in my Mom’s footsteps today from her childhood home to high school and back. If all goes well. I may have her school records too. Got a glimpse of the inside of her high school.
Keep the faith, thank the Lord for His love for us, and share it with everyone.

In my friendship with God, I find the fuel I need to face difficulties and assurance when I am anxious. I also experience forgiveness for myself as well as a more ready capacity to forgive others when we fall short. Thank You, God.

Prayers for Larry’s eye surgery. Prayers for Bill. Prayers for all dear UR friends and for those you name.

Robert, what a special blessing that you were able to be close to your mother walking through her high school.

More heavy snow coming tonight. May all who face winter driving be safe.
