New every morning is your love, great God of light, and all day long you are working for good in the world. Stir up in us desire to serve you, to live peacefully with our neighbors and all your creation, and to devote each day to your Son, our Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.

Today’s Reflection

OUR DARKNESS is not always of our own making. Sometimes our paths are just cloudy. We can’t see the destination. We don’t know how the road will end. All we can do is trust Christ one step at a time.

Sometimes our darkness is a result of our own actions. When we come to such acknowledgments, as painful as they are, we can know that being able to admit our fault is a result of Christ working within us. We have not been abandoned. We are not beyond grace. Part of the work of Christ’s light is to reveal truth, not to condemn us but to spare us.

HELLO I am at EMORY for a ck up for my kidney transplant. i don’t anticipate any complications. It’s been a super kidney for five years. However, we leave two states away, so I would love prayers for safe travels; prayers for my spine tumors to continue to ‘behave,’ and prayers for my husband diganosed with autism, dementia and depression. THANKS VERY MUCH. BLESSINGS

While God can and does see in the dark, when we are in the dark we are out of touch with God. It’s like a one way window.

Able to post again, missed a lot of comments from the UR family.
