New every morning is your love, great God of light, and all day long you are working for good in the world. Stir up in us desire to serve you, to live peacefully with our neighbors and all your creation, and to devote each day to your Son, our Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.

Today’s Reflection

WHEN I IMAGINE my journey with God and with my children as a boat sailing on the ocean, the winds of the Holy Spirit guiding it where it will, I feel freer. I can give myself more grace in my parenting and not be so hard on myself when I mess up. I release the expectation that I have all the answers or know the “right” way to do things.

Today’s Scripture

The wind blows where it chooses, and you hear the sound of it, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.”

Julie, James 1:2-4 says “Count it all joy when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith brings steadfastness. And let that steadfastness have it’s full effect, that you may be perfect and complete lacking nothing.” Also in this life you will have trouble, that also is in the Bible but I don’t know where. Continue to pray and ask Gods help. Keep knocking! Never give up. God bless you, Julie. He knows what you are going through. Thank you for your prayers for Bill. Surgery is almost 4 weeks away. God is good!

Am hopeful the Holy Spirit is leading to Conway NH. Have made an offer on a condo and am waiting for acceptance.

Amen and thank you Julie for your detailed prayers for many. May Jesus still the winds that batter you. Thankful for Mary’s comments of support. Prayers for Edy’s Bill and thankful for the scriptural support.

Thankful for a repaired septic system, walks, help from my sister, fresh baked banana bread, and wonderful spaghetti with hot Italian sausage, sauce, and Parmesan cheese.

May the Holy Spirit fill your sails.
