New every morning is your love, great God of light, and all day long you are working for good in the world. Stir up in us desire to serve you, to live peacefully with our neighbors and all your creation, and to devote each day to your Son, our Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.

Today’s Reflection

PRAYING BEFORE MEALS fills our hearts with gratitude for God’s provision in our lives as we enjoy the tangible gifts of food. We acknowledge that every good thing comes from God. We ask God to bless our food, bless the ones who prepared it, and bless the receivers of the goodness. We pray before meals to invite God’s presence into our lives and to ask that the food become strength for our work in the kingdom.

Yes. I pray before meals. I am thankful for food to eat.

Hoping for some positive news on the condo purchase. A few months ago I was hoping for good news on a condo sale. How ironic!
A beautiful day, time for an early morning walk.
Will post more when I return. Haven’t had a morning like this in a long time.
    Thank You, Lord.

Lord God I thank you for the meals you will provide today and the rest of this week. I pray for the farmers, fishermen and all those who work in industry and manufacturing to provide us with safe and healthy food. Bless them in a very special way. I pray for special blessings upon family and friends who give us gifts of food. May they never be in need and may they continue to bless others as you have blessed them. May the food we eat provide nourishment to our bodies even as Your Word nourishes our souls. For those who have nothing to eat now and for the foreseeable future; for those whose livelihoods have been destroyed by disasters and other perils we ask that You, Jehovah Jireh will provide for them. May the outpouring of Your blessings bring them into relationship with You. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.

      Thanks Julie!

Grateful for the joy of having tea with a dear friend this afternoon.

Dad’s appetite is still not good. He doesn’t like meat these days. Not even his favorite meatball. Hope he doesn’t fall as he walks with the walking frame.

May God strengthen the weak and heal the sick!

      Blessings!

Haven’t had such a wonderful day in quite a while. A great walk and was able to rake the leaves beside the house. Progress packing up as well. Erich made a great dinner. No word on the condo purchase.

Prayers for Mary’s Dad and his appetite. Glad Mary had a nice tea with a friend.

Thankful for Julie’s prayers. Amen to her prayers for others. Special prayers for Julie’s situation, hope that it is resolved soon.
