Passions for God’s Purpose

Today’s Reflection

Each Reflection this week features a meditation written by teens for other teens. Listen for words of wisdom from another generation.

AS A COLLEGE freshman, I am asked repeatedly, “What’s your major?” and “What will you do after you graduate?” These questions can be annoying, but they have led me to look closely at the gifts and passions God has given me. I am currently studying elementary education. Now that I can answer “What’s your major?” with confidence, I am waiting patiently for God to reveal how I can best use my passions for God’s purpose.

God has set me on a path I never thought I would be on at this stage of life. I need to trust God completely to lead me into a better situation. One that is healthier and more stable, free from hate and persecution. I need to continue to believe in His providential care and His plans for a hopeful future where He uses me for His divine purpose. I, too, long to know where the gifts and talents He gave me will best be used to serve Him.
Prayers for a wonderful visit for Andrea and her friends.
Prayers for Betsy as she moves.
Prayers for Connie and her garden with the weird weather this year.
Prayers for Jill and Becky and their relationship.
Prayers for Lou and her daughter and for successful transitions.
Prayers for joy in abundance for Mary.
Prayers for Marcy, may she be well.
Prayers for Robert and Erich, may the weather continue to be mild.
Prayers for BJ and her enthusiastic greeting.
Prayers, blessings, warm hugs and thank you dear UR readers and posters

    Thanks Julie!

Just had a fruitful lunch meeting today with two good friends about the expansion of God’s kingdom.

As I continue to emerge from this season of struggle and grief, more than a few people have hinted that my “ministry” could be in the lines of cancer support or grief support. I pray that God will guide me – trusting that no suffering is wasted. I am so grateful for the people who have come along side me, specifically Suzanne with my PsA and Jennifer with my mom’s struggle. I would love to become that “walk along side”er for someone else. But, He may have other plans.
Have had several early mornings lately, and the new day’s Reflection has not been up yet.
Dad had Mohs today and it went really well. He only had to have one layer (on his head) scraped.
Dinner tonight with a friend and a way too busy weekend ahead – but full of good stuff. Not yet ready to dive head first into scheduled, scheduled, scheduled. Luckily I still have a week at the beach looming out there, before back to school.
Prayers for this UR family, for concerns spoken or kept private. God is near.

I’m a long ways from being an undergrad in college. I’m more like an undergrad in the last part of my life. Like my car I have a lot of miles, some wear and tear, signs of age, but thanks to the Lord, I’m still here and going.

Thanks Julie, we are doing well weather wise. making progress settling in.
Physically not too much more to do, socially making progress. Erich’s skin is healing and hopefully soon he’ll work on the jobs he’s interested in.

Your prayers are so helpful for many. Thank you.

Thank you, Bj! Am thankful you are in the UR Family.

Jill I agree with the suggestions for a new way you can minister. I pray God shows you where you are needed. Have a good rest before school starts. Things get busy in a hurry.

Mary, your faith is very encouraging. Bless you!
