New every morning is your love, great God of light, and all day long you are working for good in the world. Stir up in us desire to serve you, to live peacefully with our neighbors and all your creation, and to devote each day to your Son, our Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.

Today’s Reflection

PRACTICING AWARENESS and trust in God’s love is what spiritual disciplines are about. Just as our muscles require physical exercise, our faith requires daily practice of concentrated awareness of God’s abiding love. With the discipline our faith requires, we can even send God’s love to people and places all over the world. Awareness of God’s presence and prayers of loving kindness exercise the nerve pathways in our minds that can move our attention from all our worries and concerns to God’s presence.

I practice actually physicallly doing what I say in my prayers. I actually bend down and mime and imagine physically laying my worries at His feet and close my arms and stand imagining I am receiving His peace and rest as He carries my burdens. This is one example of my physical representation of prayers which make me more aware of God’s presence.
Tazzie is sitting on my lap which makes typing difficult but love is always worth the trouble. I get my Botox shots today and intend to talk privately with my doctor. His assistant is causing issues with my health care which are negatively affecting my health. This type of thing is difficult for me and I have avoided it for some time, but last year my health was awful and she never returned my calls so I never saw my doctor.
Prayers for April, BJ< Betsy and Lou.
Prayers for healing for and comments from Andrea, Connie, and Marcy.
Prayers for Jill and may she continue to be supported by others as needed and give support to others as she sees the need and has the ability.
Prayers for Mary, may she reap a mighty harvest for the Lord with her kindness.
Prayers for Robert, may his new gym be a fit and may his health remain strong.
Prayers, blessings, warm hugs and thank you dear UR family

Prayers, reflection and journaling enable me to practice greater awareness of God’s presence.

Thank you for all your prayers.

May God’s presence be very close to all of us.

      Blessings!

I think there is a mix of my ability to recognize the presence of God and God’s willingness to be recognized. God wants us to have a relationship, but I am not always, on my own, able to recognize God’s presence even though I accept that God is ever present. Thank You, Lord, for Your ever presence. Help us to find You when we search with all our hearts, minds, spirit, and strength.

Lord, the beauty of Your creation was on display today at a 64′ waterfall at the base of Mount Washington here in NH. The foliage was spectacular. Thank You, Lord.

Thankful for the supportive posts from Jill, Julie, and Mary this week. I was able to read all of the posts from Monday to today. Yes, Julie, I agree with your prayers.

Lord, may all of the needs of the UR family, all creation, be met this day and always. Prayers for Doris who is fighting an infection, losing weight, and not eating as swallowing is not possible.

Have a great weekend, this week we exam Mary, Jesus’ mother.
