Concert of Praise

Today’s Reflection

FOR THE BELIEVER, life is a concert of praise; indeed,
one’s whole life is a song to be sung, a melodious act of gratitude
to the One who has given us life and redeemed us by
grace. But while solos have their place, it is a chorus—the
whole company of God’s faithful people—that sings “Holy,
holy, holy Lord, God of power and might. Heaven and earth
are full of your glory.”

—Paul Wesley Chilcote, A Life-Shaping Prayer: 52 Meditations in the Wesleyan Spirit (Upper Room Books, 2008)

Today’s Question

Today’s Scripture

“O sing to the LORD a new song;
sing to the LORD, all the earth.”

—Psalm 96:1 (NRSV)

Prayer for the Week

Whether we come together to work in groups or work individually, if we are fulfilling Christ’s commands, we are participating in the chorus of God’s faithful people.

Thankful for a wise decision after a disappointing day, but it will lead to better opportunities. After the rain the sun comes out.

Thankful for prayers ,and like others here at the UR do, you are all lifted up.
We are directed to pray always.

God’s peace, love, mercy, and grace be with you. Thank You, Lord.

Again, I think of this group. We raise our voices together in prayer and words of support when pain and hardships are shared. We celebrate joys and triumphs. We raise our voices with and for one another…in love.
Prayers for Robert and his difficult decision, may going forward show the wisdom of his choice. I pray that it does not involve Erich and his job. May your heart be healed by the love of God and those here.
Prayers for Mary and may she recover quickly and completely from her insect bite.
Prayers for Jill, may her doctor provide relief for her symptoms at today’s appointment.
I had to call my doctor yesterday as I still do not have to new medication. It must be sent by mail from a special pharmacy.
Prayers for our new posters, Ally and Rick. Ally, thank you for your prayers for Chai. He does not have FUS and we should find out this afternoon if he has a UTI. His ureter is inflamed and he is on two medications. He is improving, though slowly. It is nice to have another kitty lover among us!
Prayers, blessings, warm hugs and thank you dear UR posters, readers and administrators

Thank you Julie and amen to all your prayers!

Yes, this group is indeed a concert of praise!

May God enable us to play a sweet symphony of praise to glorify Him!

      Thank you God!

I can take time to be aware of my blessings. I can take time to appreciate the beauty of the fall leaves as they lay on the grass. I can appreciate nature and its many forms that are within my vision each day especially today. I can take time to be grateful for the live trees that bring me Moments of appreciation.
