New every morning is your love, great God of light, and all day long you are working for good in the world. Stir up in us desire to serve you, to live peacefully with our neighbors and all your creation, and to devote each day to your Son, our Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.

Today’s Reflection

GOD KNOWS US and calls us by name. We are not strangers or aliens to God. We are each and all God’s beloved. We have as our lover the Creator and Master of all that exists. The One who calls us beloved is also the one who know us so intimately and well that even the number of hairs on our head is known.

It’s amazing and humbling to me that God loves me. Someone so perfectly imperfect.

  • Mary Ng Shwu Ling Posted January 27, 2018 1:42 am

Thank you God for your amazing love for each of us

    Blessings to all

I am stunned at God’s relentless pursuit of me, His call on my life. I think about my ignorance, the selfishness that He pulled me from. All praise to His Glorious Grace. Thank You, Father, for desiring me, desiring relationship. Assist me in my faithfulness to You.
Grateful for a good week at school. I had some really good conversations, both individually with students and as whole classes. I can see now how distracted I had been. Good to be back, joyfully and fully interacting with young people. Grateful to hear from Marcy and her perseverance through current trials.

I’ve always drawn great comfort in the belief that God loves me so much that even the number of hairs on my head are known by him- that he knows everything about me and He loves me- that He loves me so much that He will always be right here by my side – closer than my breath. He loves me so much that He gave His son for me so that I could be free and love with Him eternally. Thank you God for knowing me and loving me.
I continue to struggle and often feel lonely in my “new” single life. I thank God for giving me work and the financial resources to help myself and my family. I am working on putting our family home on the market which is difficult in many ways but it is too much for me to manage on my own- this will be a big transition for me and my kids. I often wake up and am consumed initially by all that I have to do but the readings like the one above and the faith expressed here helps to calm me and regain my focus –
We all struggle – with health issues, family, finances, grief, pain, and so much more- but God knows our struggles and hears our cries- He loves us. That is enough. We are enough.
Blessings and healing to all who come here today.

Great is our Lord, great is His mercy upon us and great is His love for me. How this humbles me.
Good to hear from one and all.
    Prayers for each of you
Blessings and thanks to all for your prayers and reflection notes which teach me so much.

Recognizing, accepting, knowing, believing that God loves me and wants a relationship with me can be overwhelming, hard to fathom. It also takes a commitment on my part. Thank You, Lord for creating me, being with me when I was not with You, loving me, and accepting me when I turned to You.
You support me when unbelief is at my doorstep and I am challenged by unbelievers. Through life you have sustained me. Thank You, Lord.

Thankful for all of the comments I joyfully read before writing. Lou, I very much understand you and your situation even though some of it is not like my own. Glad that Jill is enjoying teaching and her energy level is restored. Gerri, God loves everyone, you are God’s creation, God’s child, God delights in you. Yes, Mary, I’m thankful for God’s amazing love. too. Thank you Julie for reminding us of God’s mercy. It comes along with grace, and faithfulness. Prayers for your hands, knee and foot. Prayers for and thankful to hear from Marcy. Blessings to all of you, thankful for your company. God’s love is certainly shared here, can’t imagine what I would do without all of you.

Loving, caring, UR siblings, friends and family, your prayers sustain me and through them, bring God’s strength, Love and keep Hope ever alive with in me. Thank you, Holy Father in heaven, for bringing me here, being accepted by one and all and welcomed by Julie. I’ll never forget how I cried that day, and a few since, when I realized I had found Family in Jesus Christ, our Loving Savior. Praise God! The unconditional Love from God, is mirrored here among each other and is woven through daily comments and posts. I continue to be exceedingly thankful and grateful to God and each of you as I pray for you all every morning! I pray for healing for those of us striving to overcome physical, emotional, mental, relational and spiritual issues. I join in praises to the Lord, those celebrating health, happiness and harmony!

Betsy, yes! Perfectly imperfect, yet all of us God’s beloved children.

Mary, sweet sister, God’s Love is SO amazing! Amen!

Jill, I remember my own ignorance and selfishness and although a lot was in connection with my marriage, it took a time to see it afterwards. I have confessed this to God, asked His forgiveness and repented, praying never to be blind to such a state again. Thank you, Jill, for words of encouragement. I am truly isolated now and you all are so helpful in that area. Thanks be to God!

Lou, yes, we do continue to evolve in our circumstances and pray to God, who makes the impossible, possible, to bring us up firmly on high ground. Our Rock, to which we cling. I take great comfort when you state how close He is, as close as our breath. He loves us….Thank you, Lou.

Julie, yes! Great is our Lord and all that He was, is, and ever shall be! I, too, am humbled. Love to you, Julie. Praying for relief of pain in your knees and foot and warmer weather.

Robert, a very playful post. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers. I cannot imagine what I would do without all of our siblings, including yourself, either. We are so blessed to have been brought together here by our Father.

Lord, please bless Gerri, Mary, Jill, Lou, Julie, Robert and all of our UR family and keep us all safe and well, posting or not. Please watch over all of their own family members too, Lord.

Praying for world leaders to be filled with God’s wisdom and compassion.

And these three remain: Faith, Hope and Love, and the greatest of these is LOVE!

Robert, stumbling fingers, kind of numb today. I meant Prayerful post, not playful post. Sorry!

      • robert moeller Posted January 27, 2018 5:19 pm

All is well, we all have fingers that don’t always work the way we want.
Always glad to read your posts. May healing and help be with you. Blessings!

  • Mary Ng Shwu Ling Posted January 27, 2018 6:27 pm
