Today’s Reflection

I LEARNED ABOUT THIRST while visiting El Esperanza. More than two-thirds of Nicaragua’s rural communities lack access to clean drinking water. Globally, contaminated water is the second greatest cause of infant mortality. An estimated 1.8 million children die each year as a result of illnesses linked to consumption of polluted water. …

What are we thirsting for today?

PRAYER: O God, we go about our days doing the work and activities that we have planned. With good intentions we make an idol out of our schedules and to-do lists. Would you interrupt our lives like you did the woman at the well? Please come to us where we are today, even if that means that our lives are disrupted. Amen.

“Please come to us where we are today, even if that means that our lives are disrupted. Amen.” Yes, Lord, interruptions from or for You are always welcome.

Mary, I too am thankful for potable water. Grateful for a good sleep, food to eat, and a trip to the gym today.

Prayers for the needs of the UR family. The Lord is with you. Thank You, Lord.

Yes, Lord, interrupt my day so I may see the opportunities you place in my path to serve you through providing hspitality. May I shine your light into the life of another so they too may thirst for you.

Gracious God, interrupt my agenda with Your desire for me. May my faith in You grow and strengthen. May my hospitality toward others also increase.

Thinking of Marcy and praying she and her circumstances are improving.

Blessings and prayers for all UR friends and all who visit here.
