New every morning is your love, great God of light, and all day long you are working for good in the world. Stir up in us desire to serve you, to live peacefully with our neighbors and all your creation, and to devote each day to your Son, our Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.

Today’s Reflection

EVER-LOVING GOD, who came into the world clothed in our garment of flesh and who willingly gave yourself to the cross, clothe us in your own Spirit, that persons will recognize you in us and receive your great gift of love. In the name of Jesus, your greatest gift. Amen.

Yes, clothe me in Your Holy Spirit. May others see You in me.
Grateful for my Tuesday morning prayer group, for concerns shared and burdens prayed for. Grateful for my student who meets me after prayer group and we walk to class together. She loves Jesus and has been very supportive of me during these past few months. I am a big Snoopy fan – and she gave me a notebook/journal with Snoopy on the front – and wrote me the loveliest note – saying she is praying for my mom and my family. I taped it to the inside cover. God’s provision is everywhere – so good to recognize and be grateful.

I pray for this every day, to be an exampe of HIs light and love that others may know Him through me. But I struggle with this for people who take advantage of me and abuse my good intentions. I do not know how to reconcile the two.
Jill, so glad you have many people who are sensitive to your current circumstances and seek to alleviate your stress.
Blessings and prayers for and thnk you to all of the UR family.
I lift each of your concerns to the Lord daily and appreciate your kind prayers and words of wisdom and spiritual mentoring.

This short, well written, and right on reflection is what I think all believers hope for. I certainly do. Have a ways to go, doubt I will be just right when the homeward journey begins some day, but God’s mercy, grace, and love will bring me home.

So thankful for the support Jill, Gloria, Larry, and Becky are receiving from all angles. I think God’s love works that way. Continued prayers for God’s will to be done. We pray for that every time we say the Lord’s Prayer “They will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.”

Thankful for the ability to help with a Korean dresser for Erich’s clothes. Have another option I will discuss with him. Good meals, progress with the shelf project, and the train layout back in shape are also reasons to be thankful.
Despite strong winds, falling limbs and branches, high water, and power outages, Anneliese is ok. Power back on, no flooding, and no house damage.
No buyer yet for the condo, but there have been people coming to see it. Erich’s job search continues, applications in, have been reviewed. Pearl keeps us busy, but is doing well. Thank You, Lord.

Prayers for all our neighbors, here, there, near, far, close and well known or barely acquainted and unknown. God loves all of us and we share God’s love with everyone.

Prayers especially for Marcy and Rusty from whom we would love to read a post. Blessings to the UR family.

Praying that Robert will have a buyer for the condo and Erich will be able to get a job. Lead and guide them, God.

Father God, i commit the needs of a neighbour into your hands. Sometimes she would text me to help her but i am at work. Hope her children can arrange a helper for her. When i am at home during the weekends, i will go over and help her.

    Blessings to all
