Responding to God’s Love

Today’s Reflection

FOR THE CHRISTIAN, spirituality is the way a person responds to God’s love. It is the process of seeking and enjoying a relationship with God the Creator (Father), God the Son (Jesus), and God the Holy Spirit (Spirit of Christ). It involves learning about God; opening to the experience of God’s grace; loving and serving God, other people, and self; understanding and living life through the mind of Christ; and looking forward to being embraced by God in heaven throughout eternity.

I find this a difficult question but think of spirituality as the acknowledgement of God’s existence, the desire to be in a relationship with God, knowing and believing in God, and following God’s commands.

Thankful for the ability to accomplish some helpful tasks yesterday. Anneliese has the correct health insurance needed information on file and Erich has a real bed. Thankful his skin has healed and he is actively searching for a job.
Heat and humidity have a big impact on him. Continuing Bible study, while slow going, has been helpful for all who participate. We are more familiar with each other and share our understanding and relationship with God. like the UR, there is another faith family to which we belong.

You are in my prayers, thank you, for your prayers. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

What is spirituality seems like a huge question to ponder. It is the core of a Christian. The rock we build our life on and make our decisions by. It is the basis of who we are.
I have a new tablet and so short missive today as I learn the ins and outs and make a list of things for my daughter to address. Thank you God for her and her tech savvy.
Prayers, blessings, warm hugs and thank you dear UR family

The best definition of spirituality I can think of at the moment is seeing God in the world and striving to live according to how one senses God is moving one.

I ask for your prayers for my daughter, who has an ethics test on Friday, the last test she needs to be a fully licensed counseling psychologist in MN. Please also pray for my friend’s daughter, Anna, who has several mental illness diagnoses and is in a psychotic crisis.

Thank you, dear UR friends. Prayers for each of you, your prayer intentions and those for whom you pray, and prayers for all who stop by to read the reflection and comments. Wishing all a blessed day.
