Your Faith Story

Today’s Reflection

THERE IS A SENSE of urgency about preserving one’s faith story in the later years. It is sad when older people wait too long to achieve this task. As the writer of Ecclesiastes stated, “Remember your creator in the days of your youth, before the days of trouble come, and the years draw near when you say, ‘I have no pleasure in them’” (Ecclesiastes 12:1). We might well rephrase those words in this way: Remember … your story in the days when you can write it down, before the inevitable losses of old age come, and you can no longer fulfill that task.

A few people have some of my faith story.

Thankful Erich is on the job hunt, has visited places where he would like to work, and has applied. While a couple warm days are coming, our AC is working well and we are prepared.

Prayers for the needs of the UR family, for Baby Finn, Doris, Anneliese, and Meesook. Hope Erich finds a job that gets him started on a path that leads to more financial independence.

Breakfast with church friends and then I’m painting at the new gym.

I have never thought of a “faith story” and wouldn’t know where to begin or what to even contemplate. This is a deep subject that I need to plumb.
Prayers for Robert and Erich. Thank you God that Robert is acclimating so very well to his new area and has friends and a new gym. Thank you God that Erich is well enough to job hunt. May he find a job that he can remain in for a long time.
Prayers for April and thank you God that she commented. She is a kind and caring friend to both young and old.
Prayers for Mary and her sister Molly, may they be blessed with joy in abundance.
Prayers for so many who have not posted in so long, may they be well.
I am alone with h (Megan is asleep) as he is off today. So much stress and I give it to you Lord along with my fears, concerns and worries. Megan and I will visit the local animal shelter today. They had a recent influx of 60 animals and we are taking supplies we bought yesterday and I will also donate money. We cannot adopt any as our vet said at the appointment that to do so would jeopardize our cats health.
Prayers, blessings, warm hugs and thank you dear UR family

I weekly/daily keep a journal where I can go back and see how far I have cone. Hopefully one day my sons will be able to read and see my growth as well.

I ordered books with questions for Grandma to fill in with “my story” to give to our children this Christmas. They cover several topics but I don’t recall faith being one of them. I think this is a God wink for me to get going and to include this important aspect of my life in “my story.”
Praying for our UR family and concerns posted here.
Welcome Susan :)) blessings to all.
